And the review reads, This bag looks expensive due to the fact that it looks like Saffiano leather. It’s large but not too large- I love that there are SO MANY organizational pockets, and it includes a top zipper. The laptop sleeve is made out of a flannel type of fabric to prevent scratching. I was able to fit everything I was carrying in a Targus laptop backpack into this easily. It’s nice to be able to look down into the bag and see exactly what’s inside vs searching multiple compartments.
I wanted to add a note regarding the charging port, since it seems that there is some confusion. This is mislabeled. It is a pass through port, in that the cord is meant to attach to a battery pack or to an outlet with an adapter.. It does not charge on its own.
Overall I think this is a FANTASTIC value and it seems like it will be very durable. It’s certainly very pretty!

This is my 5th Vera Bradley tote bag! I have a huge collection of expensive brand name leather bags but I always seem to reach for one of my Vera totes for my everyday life activities. I have two microfiber bags, two twill and one cloth bag that is centuries old. I’m partial to the microfiber just because of the intensity of the color and durability but they are all functional. Why? One, they are just the right size to hold everything I like to carry, and there are plenty of side pockets and exterior side pockets for organization. It holds my laptop, my knitting (two things I am never without), my coupon bag, makeup, handcreme/sanitizer, my personal “ditty” bag (things you never think you’ll need but always do), wallet/coin purse. There is also a special pocket near the top for your phone which has kept me from searching at the bottom of my purse! Two, the weight of the bag itself is light so it doesn’t add much to the overall weight and it doesn’t weigh down your shoulder. I’m a long time commuter and I learned long ago how damaging carrying a heavy bag can be on your posture and back. Three, they are well made, with sturdy zippers and seams, have beautiful contrasting linings, and they stand up on their own. I also love the zipper top closure for safety. I don’t think you could ask for a better lightweight bag that carries everything. Now if I have to choose between my Coach and my Vera, I go with Vera!

Customer review as : I purchased this because I carry a laptop, phone, cables and battery, wallet, glasses and sunglasses, a 40 oz. bottle, and miscellaneous other items to work. This tote can handle ALL of that and more. I’ve had it for about a month and it works great! It has a small inside zippered pouch for pens, lipstick, etc. It has a large zippered center compartment I haven’t even used yet. The laptop compartment is padded and has a large strap that comes over the laptop and attaches to the inside with Velcro, keeping my laptop from moving around. I can also clip my keys to the inside O ring or to one of the O rings where the straps attach. I love the color (Updated Navy Blue which is more a periwinkle blue) and the pretty leather bow (which can be detached). Because this is made of PU Leather, I’m not sure how long it will last, but it is a great tote to use in the meantime.
